Wood Street House and The Palm House win big at HomeViews Awards
After receiving nominations in 14 categories at this year’s HomeViews Awards, urbanbubble managed to take home 2 big wins from the night.
The night was jam-packed with awards celebrating the best in property and Build to Rent. Louise Bangee (Director of Build to Rent), Gavin Carson (Regional Operations Manager), Paul Winterburn (General Manager, BtR), Alexandra Thewlis (Community & Operations Manager), Mohamed Hassan (Front of House Day, Wood Street House), Kamil Jakobczyk (Community & Operations Manager, Co-living) and Tomas Semotam (Community and Operations Manager, BtR) came together at the awards to celebrate the achievements of all our people over the past year.
First up to take home an award was Wood Street House for being the Top Rated Rental-Only Community in the South West of England & Wales. The Build to Rent community in the heart of Cardiff has not only made a name for itself due to the fantastic rooms, amenities, and placement, but most importantly the amazing people that keep the community alive and thriving. Mohamed ‘Mo’ Hassan, who was there on the big night, is the Front of House at Wood Street and was also nominated for Resident Team Member of the Year at the HomeViews awards and won the Passionate Award at our internal annual HERO Awards for always going above and beyond and being a resident favourite. Mo, along with the entire Wood Street House team, is the reason why the community won the award on Thursday.
Mo, who went up to collect the award, said: “I enjoyed seeing other BTR companies from around the UK and sharing best practices and picking up tips, to help me improve our resident’s stay at WSH. It was a nice surprise to win the award as everyone at WSH works hard and it shows that the residents and the surrounding community are at the heart of everything we do.”
Then, just after, urbanbubble had another fantastic success with The Palm House taking home the award for Top Rated Co-living Community. As a testament to our co-living teams, all three of our co-living communities were nominated for this award, thanks to the strong and vibrant people and leadership on-site.
Chante Topper, Front of House at The Palm House, said: “It has been amazing to witness The Palm House blossom into the stunning building it is today. We as a team take pride in creating a safe place, inclusive community and most importantly, a home. It means a lot to know that the residents appreciate all the hard effort that goes into The Palm House, and I am honoured to be a part of the team that makes it happen. Winning this award is an amazing achievement and we hope to uphold this reputation at FOLK.’
We are extremely proud of all of the teams who were nominated and won, and it is fantastic to see so much of the fantastic work recognised at such a prestigious event.
